As much as I love siting at my desk tapping out words on the keys, Speaking is where my heart is. There is nothing like looking at the faces of women as I share with them the grace and mercy God offers. In speaking my goal is to teach biblically while also providing practical applications. I use personal stories, family antics and even a few wild hand motions to illustrate the messages God has given me.
If I could only share one thing with all women it would be this:
In Christ you are enough !!
To many young girls grow up to women, wives, mothers that live with a broken heart wondering if they are enough… it is my passionate desire to remind women of who God says they are.
For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure. ~~ Deuteronomy 7:6
From teaching the Word to women on Sunday nights at my church to sharing what I’ve learned about God’s ways, the opportunity to use Scripture to teach and encourage women to seek joy is my greatest love and deepest calling.
“You [Amy] spoke with power and confidence. Definitely a God thing.” ~~ Deb Key, Mt Carmel Baptist, Cordova, AL
With over 10 years of teaching a multi-age Sunday Bible study class for women fuels my yearning to encourage inter-mingling of all ages and stages to lead to greater spiritual maturity. Teaching this small group has been my heart for years but I’m equally comfortable facilitating discussion with five women and sharing God’s truth to groups of 500. I love sharing about who God says we are verses the labels the world (or even ourselves) has placed on us.
“Your [Amy’s] message was a blessing and I can see God using you in a marvelous way to reach women of all ages to further the kingdom. There are many girls who feel so inadequate and unworthy today and your message will bring hope to them, that God loves them and has a great plan for their future.” ~~ Sandra Graham, Gardendale 1st Baptist
I love to see women finding freedom in the harmony of having a deep relationship with God, others and themselves.
Some of my recent speaking topics include:
What Is In Your Junk Drawer
- Realize God does love them
- Elevate her awareness of God’s active work in her life
- Stop trying to be good enough and begin to allow God to transform her into His goodness
God Has His Ways
- Everyone faces times of desperation
- Your desperation is not always due to a lack of faith
- God will provide your miracle out of what you already have
The Joy of The Lord
- Knowing who we are and whose we are
- Discovering the will of God through His Word
- Realizing joy is the result of repentance and the discovery of grace.
We all work hard to follow God’s calling. We reach out to those around us. We do the work yet we don’t to see any progress, and we might wonder if God is even paying attention.I use this story of Jerico from Joshua 6 to show that God’s promise and victory may be closer than we think. With this message I will
- Encourage you to listen carefully to God’s full instruction
- Remember that He is always work for us even when we don’t see it
- That what He has promised He is faithful to bring it to you
Each of these topics can be modified and adapted for use in break-out sessions at conferences, talks at women’s ministry luncheons, or as keynote talks for larger events.
